Food Storage

Food Storage is never provided the respect that it deserves. Many people will look at you kind of funny when you mention that you store food. The boy scout motto is to "Be Prepared". Have you ever gone into a supermarket when there is a storm approaching, if its a snow storm you can count on many foods being cleared of the shelves, from milk, to cereal, and many other goods and products like shovels. Mind you this is only a small percentage of the population that does this, imagine what people would do in a real emergency.

Even during the early 1930's after the financial crisis there were shortages of food. I believe most people should have at least a 3 month supply of food. Many of the links below have valuable information about how long food can be stored, what you should store and how to store it.
