    Falcon 9 Launch Wednesday

There is a Falcon 9 launch from the newly refurbished LC 40 on Wednesday morning no earlier than 11:24. They finally finished the pad repairs and got a "go-flight" from the FAA and the USAF, so they are going to shoot close to 6,000 pounds of goodies up to the space station.

Weather is forecast to be perfect, and with humidity close to 55%, the noise from this bird should really be fantastic. Also, the sonic boom from the first stage re-entering and landing should be awesome.

That new sunroom I added this summer faces the south. We call it our "Florida Room" - HA - Any bets we'll still not be able to see it from Ohio?

I've set my alarm for 11:30AM.

Is there some way I can find out the actual status of the launch at that time to see what is going on (if anything)?

    Is this it coming back

And a lot of engineers said this wouldn’t work. They laughed at the idea. But he has done it. They have done it.

    That:

...was almost as good as sex.

As a kid, I was always a dreamer -- and rocket ships in the 1950's ALWAYS landed standing up.

Now I have seen it -- not just in my imagination -- and it has blown away all my disappointment with the way NASA did it.
