    Npapi

I got a message from Chrome that this website uses this program for flash and Chrome will no longer support this. Gave a link that shows how to update for a new program but don't remember what it is called.

    Any thoughts on this, mods?

Couple of other browser options besides microshaft's explorer are Opera or Firefox. Never used Chrome as a browser.

I like Firefox. Duck Duck Go is supposed to be an anonymous search engine. Works for me.

Yes, Npapi is pretty much obsolete, and isn't really supported by anyone anymore. This site may still support it, but the architecture isn't something I have total access to, so I can't be for sure. I use IE at work because that's what our big .Gov client requires we use, but at home I use Pale Moon Project, and the site works fine, but this weekend I can load Chrome and see what happens if this is what you're experiencing, and it's a hassle for you. Otherwise, I'm not sure what to tell you, other than that you'll have to use a browser that you don't care for until I can get Main on it.

Also, that they won't support Npapi doesn't mean it won't work anymore, simply that they won't fix any security issues or fix any broken stuff.

If you want absolute anonymity, use Pale Moon Project. My boy at Com Ops uses it, and that's all the testimonial I'll ever need. He's quite possibly the most paranoid person I have ever, or will ever meet. Good guy, but he'll certainly never run out of tin foil if you know what I mean.

Ya, there is Tor, but there's also a lot of "eyes" on Tor because of the whole silk Road hidden service thing. I don't know man. I like my other thing because it's so incredibly low profile, and they stay away from all the other shit. Tor is kind of neat, but it was a Naval Research Labs thing, so I don't know just how much I really trust anything whose roots are sunk in to government soil.

Heck, about the most serious thing I do on the net is surf a few forums, maybe a little buying and banking, but nothing that would set off any red flags. I do play around with Tor some, but mostly stick with it's mother, Firefox.

Understood. I don't do anything illegal either, but I walk right on the line sometimes. Hell, I use it for a jump-rope, who am I kidding.

Being a bit of a pyro, I like to make home made fireworks, you know, the aerial shit. Nothing real big, but fireworks nonetheless. So I have to buy all kinds of stuff that has caused me the occasional visit from our local postal inspector. We're on a first name basis if you know what I mean. He's pretty cool, just doing his job you know, but the guy knows what I'm up to most of the time. I think he likes me, and he even stayed to watch me do a mountain of thermite that had a pile of magnesium dust in the center of it. Scared the shit out of him. Five pounds of thermite with a one pound core of 300# mag powder was a hot ass flame around six feet high.

Neighbors think I'm crazy. Probably don't even have to lock my doors.

Firefox, NoScript, AdBlock Plus, Ghostery. TrackMeNot

    So much for that database!

    Also.........................

I love it how websites are begging us to turn off adblock plus, with the message that "some features will be disabled unless you turn off adblock!
