Time to put the garden to bed. Tilled most of it under already, got the garlic planted, still need to see if those carrots did anything, also the Jerusalem artichokes. Thinking about planting a cover crop on part of the garden, strawing the rest, see which helps the most.

Ya all I have this 1973 "Toro Hoss" cultivator sitting in my garage that there is no way I could ever get behind it again. This is one mean sucker, heavy also. It's a PTO type, so if ya could fine attachments to add on to it swell.

Bottom line is I need to sell it real cheap or just give it away. Does need a little work and won't run on mixed fuel, so ya need a place that still sells leaded fuel. Electric start and self driven. Anyone close by is welcome to it, just come by and pick it up. I realize that you Yankee's ain't coming down here to get it, but if someone is within driving distance to West Palm Beach y'all be welcome to it.

Just git in the truck and come on down for a visit. Ocean is about 84 degrees right now, like taking a salt water bath.

And that's a wrap on the 2017 garden.
We woke up to the years first snow , a light dusting.
The Team Chicken has joined the slackers union , only 4-5 eggs a day now that it is darker and colder. I do not use artificial light to stimulate egg laying. I just let nature take its course with the birds. They don't live to long so why not let them enjoy life?.....
Fall garlic is planted . Over 500 cloves. We also have several dozen volunteer onions that came up.
About a dozen Swiss chard and a few kale are all that remain.
Good luck everyone on your 2018 gardens!...
Breeze , that's a hell of an offer and if I was closer.....

Told the wife about it, she said let's go, then she asked where, I told her, she said, "no, to far."

I'm very busy right now with all the fall work, or..... I'd love to truck on down.

A Toro dealer here could probably hook me up with any attachments and I know how to keep those old carbs cleaned up and operating.
