 Re: Gold Correction.
I do believe SLV is in a rally, but it will be short-life rally. I am very caution and I have set up a tight stop loss. At a time like this, protecting your own capital is the most important thing in investment and trading.

 Re: Gold Correction.
Sakata, you are doing good. I pocketed a good money with couple short term investment this year. I only have a small number of shares in precous metal etfs, mainly in AGQ. I got in @$55.00, now I have made a decent money during one week. I may get out tomorrow, maybe today, this is almost more than 8%. I am not a greedy one.

 Re: Gold Correction.
Noboy is perfect. In stock market, both gain and loss are our friends. Without loss you can not gain experience, If you can not avoid loss you can not gain. Thus our main purpose is let the loss be smaller, let the gain larger. This is what people say cut the loss short and let the profit run. I have had a lot of bad times, but I absorbed some experience and I am doing better. However, I am still a child in stock mark market and I am always a learner.

 Re: Gold Correction.
Luckily I got out of my AGQ position yesterday. It is a stock market, it is not like negotiation, it is brutal, if you win, and the other will lose. The reverse is also correct! Never be too greedy, never be too feared. When you feel you need to get in, do not hesitate; when you feel you have to sell, sell it! How could you have a correct feeling? Tech and experience. There is no other way!

 Re: Gold Correction.
Every time when we got high volume, it means either the top exhaustion or panic sell at bottom. Today we got high volume with SLV, GLD, GDX and GDXJ. What is this high volume mean??

 Re: Gold Correction.
CCJOE, yes as I wrote there are two possibilities: 1. If SLV pull back to lower than 16.5 and stays below it, I think we may get a large dip, it may reach near $14.00. 2. If SLV pull-back can not be lower than 16.5 and stays there, my judgement is we may get a powerful rally. Ether way, we may get, will give us some opportunity to earn money.

 Re: Gold Correction.
Joe,
I think we are damn close. This is the most oversold both metals have been in quite some time. INteresting to note, Silver is outperforming Gold. Gold has hit new lows, Silver is trading near its low.

 Re: Gold Correction.
This article "Hoping a break" anwers my question. The author thinks now is the bottom for gold. He thinks quite like main1. I sincerely hope they are correct. http://goldscents.blogspot.com/2010/07/ ... break.htmlIt is easy for me to dumping my money by buying AGQ or DGP right now, but I don't want to see 10% loss before I see them to zoom up. I want to buy when we are close the bottom.

 Re: Gold Correction.
Goldragon, how are you going to know a bottom when you see it? Is the bottom now, is it tomorrow? You trade technicals as I do, they arent perfect but they'll get you in close to the bottom. I remember when Silver fell from $21.00 to $8.50. I called a bottom 5 times before picking the right one.
Sometimes you have to stick your neck out for the biggest gains. Right now offers the best risk to reward ratio. We are at the lower trendline, indicators are oversold. I say stick your neck out and buy, keep a 8% stop loss in place and pray.

 Re: Gold Correction.
main1, Thanks. You may be right. I think I will buy the bottoming process. Many analysts think precious metals are weak now. Thus I don't think we reached bottom, but it is one step closer now. I maybe wrong. Today I bought some SIL. Whenever the price change is in my favorite, I will buy what I want to buy, AGQ, DGP, GDX and GDXJ. I hope I am not catching falling knifes!!

 Re: Gold Correction.
It is your money, it is up to your decision, Joe. If I were you, I would invest in gold and silver. Buy physical! If you ask MAX, however, I do think buying precious metal ETFs and playing them may make more money if you know how to do it. However, you have to keep some physical. my two cents

 Re: Gold Correction.
Joe, here is what Mr. Maund thought http://www.safehaven.com/article/17678/ ... ophe-alertIt seems he thinks that there is more down side work to do, but I am not sure if he is correct. However, it may be vauable to wait little bit more time.

 Re: Gold Correction.
Silver 15 years trend shows that silver will be up starting from September. Our charts show that this year it is becoming reality. Thus my plan is to buy SLV or AGQ or SIL whenever they reach the bottom of the tri-angle. However, anything can happen in this market, thus I will set up a 5% stop loss.
