Also, I've recently seen videos from Zimbabwe and they are trading gold particles for food. No more fiat (of course its worthless).. but no mention of silver.

Thats because Gold is prevalent in that part of the world, not silver.

Great minds think alike...I thought the exact same thing. They use gold because you can pan for it and dig for it.
